Dr. Andrew P. Merkel:
Dr. Andrew Merkel is a leading Foot and Ankle surgeon in the Rochester, NY service region. Dr. Merkel graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2015 with his Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine, and has completed both a Surgical Residency and Internship at Sisters of Charity Hospital of Buffalo from. 2015 to 2018.
Dr. Merkel is an Academic faculty member in Podiatric Surgery at Rochester General Hospital, and is on Appointment at the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery specialist. Dr. Merkel is certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery specializing in Rearfoot & Ankle reconstruction.
Dr. Paul J. Merkel:
Dr. Paul Merkel is the Director of the Residency Program in podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Merkel graduated from Temple University, School of Podiatric Medicine with is Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine in 1989. He was certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 1996 and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Anjni P. Patel:
Welcome Dr. Anjni Patel, DPM!
We are excited to introduce Dr. Anjni Patel, the newest member of our podiatric team as part of Rochester Foot Care and the Genesee Valley Podiatry family of treatment facilities!
As Chief Resident, Dr. Patel recently completed a three-year surgical residency at Rochester General Hospital and brings extensive expertise in foot and ankle care, including diabetic wound care, sports medicine, and surgery. She is known for her compassionate approach and commitment to helping patients live healthy, active lives.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Patel with us, and are confident that you will be in excellent hands!
Dr. Joseph L. Carbone:
Dr. Carbone attended St. John Fisher College graduating with a BS in Biology in 1978. He went on to attend podiatry school in Chicago, at the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine graduating in 1982 with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree. Following this, Dr. Carbone completed a 1-year surgical preceptorship in Chicago.
Dr. Carbone has served as a Monroe County legislator and the president of the Monroe County legislature. He is also the past President of the Monroe County Podiatry Society. Dr. Carbone has served on the board of directors at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong, the Monroe Community Hospital, and Monroe Community College. Dr. Carbone is a Fellow at the American College of Podiatric Medicine. He is on staff at Rochester General Hospital and serves as the Chief of the Podiatry Division at the hospital.
